Desktop wallpapers for the anime series dragonaut the resonance.

So this winter (2008/09) is probably the coldest we've had in many years here in the UK.

And because of that I was possessed to fill my desktop with a hot beach scene - anything to distract me.

And what could be a better distraction than this might fine arse?

It's meant to have a slightly cartoon-y feel if that makes sense (what with it already being anime :/).

Dragonaut The Resonance is one of those Gonzo shows that is basically all right, but never really becomes great.

One thing it has going in its favour is the character designs, which are rather sexy.

With this wall I wanted the planet to look slightly artificial--a bit plastic, like it wasn't a real planet, but a model of a planet.

Unfortunately I went a bit far with that and there wasn't much I could other than start again, so instead I made the version below without the planet at all.

The character was vectored from a very poor quality scan that also had the left and right chopped off, so I had to interpret those.

Essentially the same wall as above, but without the planet.

On both of these walls I coudl have got very bogged down in all the possibel resolutions and options I had.

Instead of driving myself nuts I've therefore just done a selection.
